London Triathlon League final standings

Runner in Hyde Park

Afternoon Serpies,

It was always going to be a tough ask to improve on 2011’s performance when Serpentine won the mob match and finished second in the league. Still it went right to the wire with Serpentine winning the final event the Jekyll and Hyde Park Duathlon but getting pipped for 2nd place in both league and mob match on count back.

In the main league Serpentine finished 3rd. The final scores were:

1st Optima Racing Team 120

2nd Crystal Palace Triathletes 117

3rd Serpentine 117

In the mob match competition for turnout Serpentine finished 3rd. The final scores were:

1st Crystal Palace Triathletes 116

2nd London Field Triathlon Club 115

3rd Serpentine 115

In addition to the final club placings there were a number of people who finished in the top 10 individual rankings. So congratulations to:

Angus Beaumont 4th overall and 3rd open male

James Richens 5th vet male

Clare Parkholm 7th vet female

Daniel Morton 9th open male

Sara Demonti 10th open female

The league now takes a break for the winter but will be back in April 2013. I would like to thank all those that turned out for the club this season and in particular Team Captain Angus Beaumont who rallied the troops when needed. See you all at the Tri Social on Friday 30th November.
