London Cross Country Championships Saturday – 17 November – Hampstead Heath

This is race day information about the London Championships that will take place at Parliament Hill Fields, Hampstead Heath on Saturday, 17 November. ENTRIES HAVE CLOSED. For those of you who have pre-entered, the Championships will be run over a course of 6km for women, starting at 1.15pm and 10km for men, starting at 2.00pm. Both races will start promptly and before other races on the programme have finished. Chip timing will be used.
We will meet by the northern side of the athletics track
Female and male changing, showers, etc will be available at the Lido (not at the track).
You will need to wear a race number and timing chip that you will collect on the day from the Serpentine Team Managers. You must run in a Serpentine Running Club top, not a Tri top.
Travel – I would advise you to use public transport. “Residents Only” parking restrictions apply in all surrounding streets until 1.30pm. IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NORTHERN LINE WILL BE CLOSED and Kentish Town and Belsize Park tube stations will be shut. Gospel Oak (Overground) adjoins the Heath entrance and Overground trains will be running. Please check www.tfl.gov.uk for other tube work and journey options. Bus route 214 runs from Kings Cross, via Kentish Town (Northern Line) to Highgate Road every 10 minutes. Ask to get off at the Parliament Hill Fields stop. The bus journey from Kings Cross takes about 45 minutes. Please leave plenty time for your journey.
