English Cross Country Relays

Runner in Hyde Park

The women’s teams excelled themselves with some excellent results – 11th, 30th (4th B team) and 44th (2nd C team), out of over 100 teams. That’s 10 places higher than last year (our first ever visit to these championships)!

In a reversal of fortune from last year, however, the men were unable to match their 2011 performance and came 72nd and 99th out of over 150 teams.

Vic Crawford, our women’s captain, reports that “the course was really nice with a long section twisting through a wood, and everyone commented it was good fun!  They were pretty short legs (3k for girls, 5 for guys) so fairly fast and furious.  Muddy in patches.”
