SEAA Masters XC – Saturday, 8 December – Claybury, Woodford Green

The South of England Masters cross country championships will be on Saturday, 8 December. ADVANCE ENTRY ONLY. The venue is Claybury, Woodford Green (the same venue as the opening Met League fixture). We are hoping that we can build on the upsurge in cross country interest in the club and get a really good Masters turnout.
Entry is open to all first-claim Serpies, ladies age 40 and over, and men age 40 and over. Please note the minimum women’s age: there is no W35 category.
Men age 50-69 run 10km, starting at 11.00am.
The women’s race (all age groups over 40) and also that for men age 70+, which is 6km, starts at 11.43am.
Men in the 40-49 age group run 10k, starting at 2.10pm
(The programme also includes the Southern Inter-Counties competition for young athletes and senior women).
Team age groups for both men and women are 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+. Individual awards will be in five year age bands up to 70+.
The venue is easy to get to by public transport using the Central Line to Woodford.
Val Metcalf (val.metcalf@btinternet.com) will be coordinating the women’s entry and Malcolm French will be taking the men’s entry (MalcolmFrench@aol.com) so please email them if you would like to compete. When replying, please tell them your England Athletics registration number.
Entries close Sunday, 18 November. No late entries will be accepted. There will be no entries on the day and number exchanges are not permitted.
We look forward to hearing from you,
Val and Malcolm
