Running Shin Injuries Explained
This Presentation will discuss the most common shin problems (shin splints) associated with running including:
Medial Tibial stress syndrome
Anterior compartment syndrome
The aim of this presentation is to highlight listeners to the relevant anatomy and biomechanics of the shin/calf and how these become affected during running. A number of treatment and management strategies will then be discussed. There will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions at the end of the presentation. This will be followed by a complimentary pain and injury assessment clinic for anyone who wishes to stay.
The talk will be delivered by Thomas Dekkers (Physiotherapist) and Wayne Edwards (Podiatrist) from HFS Clinics, Harley Street, who both specialise in running and sports injuries.
Please contact thomas.dekkers@hfs-clinics.co.uk if you require any further information regarding the presentations.
