South of England Cross Country Championships

The South of England Cross Country Championships take place in Stanmer Park, Brighton, BN1 9SE on Saturday, 28 January. Entries have closed and the following is race day information for those of you who have entered the Championships.
The women's 8km race starts at 2.05pm. The men's 15km race starts at 2.50pm.
The races will be chipped timed. You must arrive at least 40 minutes before the start of your race, so that you can collect your chip and number from the Serpentine team manager(s) and have these, and your club kit, checked by the registration stewards.
Please note that your must run in Serpentine Running Club colours, not a Serpie triathlon / cycling top. The latter do not conform to UKA rules about the size of the lettering, registration of the commercial logo, etc.
VERY IMPORTANT: THERE WILL BE NO CAR PARKING IN THE VICINITY OF THE COURSE. Therefore, it is essential that you allow plenty of travel time, even if you are staying on Friday night in Brighton and just making the short trip from there. The Brighton v Newcastle FA Cup match will be taking place on the same afternoon and the football stadium is right across the road from Stanmer Park. There will be a full house of 21,000 football spectators, with all the attendant road and public transport congestion.
To clarify, there will be no car parking at the football stadium. Similarly, there are no car parking areas in the University of Sussex grounds or in Stanmer Park.
By train – Falmer Station is about 300m from Stanmer Park, via a foot tunnel under the A27. Four trains an hour from Brighton or Lewes.
Bus 25 stops at Stanmer Park. 6 buses an hour from Brighton City Centre – see http://www.buses.co.uk/
Changing facilities for women will be in the University of Sussex Sports Hall, with additional changing in a marquee near the Pavilion in the Park. Men's changing is in the Sports Pavilion in the Park.
