South of England Cross Country Championships

This is a reminder for those of you who have entered the South of England Championships that they are this Saturday, 29 January at Parliament Hill Fields, Hampstead Heath.
The women's 8k race starts at 2.05pm.
The men's 15k race starts at 2.50pm.
The races will start promptly, whether you're ready or not. Men – please note that your race will start before the women have finished. The start will be at the bottom of the hill, by the Lido. Changing facilities will be at the Lido, not at the track.
The races will be chip timed. You must leave enough time to collect your race number and chip and then get to the start. This means going through the "chipping tent" where your chip will be checked by the start team. With a large field, this inevitably takes time. Therefore, I strongly recommend that you aim to get to the start no less than 15 minutes before the commencement of your race.
I suggest you all meet by the athletics track (www.runtrackdir.com/details.asp?track=london-ph). Stephanie will be looking after the womens numbers. I'm marshalling but I'm pleased to say that Jeannette Mueller will be looking after the mens numbers and Jaran Finn will be there to help.
Good luck to you all.
