Runner in Hyde Park

Trent Park is a very large and historic landscaped park and an ideal place to bring the family to watch the races. The courses are on open fields with rough grass that can get very boggy in places, so running spikes are required, plus it is hilly throughout with a steep climb to the finish.

Course Description:

Starts on a flat, grassy field then across minor road onto a second field and downhill on grass, uphill again then down through a narrower section before going back uphill again in a loop of a 3rd field before retuning downhill through narrow section again then uphill back to the start.

Train from Hertford to Enfield Chase, then the 307 or 121 bus to Oakwood Tube station, then walk (10-15mins).
Train from Welwyn Garden City and Potters Bar to New Barnet, then the 307 bus to Oakwood Tube station, then walk (10-15mins).
Tube, Piccadilly line to Oakwood station, then walk (10-15mins).
Train from Liverpool Street to Enfield Town, then the 307 or 121 bus to
Oakwood Tube station, then walk (10-15mins).
Train from Kings Cross or Moorgate to Enfield Chase, then the 307 or 121 bus to Oakwood Tube station, then walk (10-15mins).
Train from Kings Cross or Moorgate to New Barnet, then the 307 bus to Oakwood Tube station, then walk (10-15mins).                                             Note: there may be a shuttle bus between Oakwood Tube and the University.

Parking:

Car parking will be in the Middlesex University car parks, accessed via Snakes Lane. The entrance to Snakes Lane is opposite Oakwood tube station. Runners must not use the public car parks in Trent Park. In particular the Cockfosters Road public car park is "out of bounds."

Directions from major roads:

Trent Park campus is located in a country park estate off the A110 Bramley Road. The campus is close to the M25 London Orbital motorway, leave at Junction 24 and take the A111 towards Cockfosters. Stay on this road for about 2 miles, past Cockfosters Tube station and the shops. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A111. Carry on until you see Oakwood Tube Station, the campus is first left after you have passed the station.
