Cross Country: Sunday, 24 October

The opening Sunday League race will take place in Cheshunt Park, Flamstead End, Cheshunt, Herts. Our hosts will be Broxbourne Runners.
This season, both men and women will run together over the same distance. At Cheshunt the course will be a little less than 5 miles (three laps). The race will start at 11.00am. The course is over a grassland circuit that is gently undulating.
Please note that there are no changing facilities. You are advised to arrive already changed. Kit can be left in the finish area (not secure). Toilets are available at the Golf Clubhouse. This adjoins the car park and is close to the start/finish. Refreshments are usually available in the Clubhouse – but take off your muddy shoes before entering!
Travel
By car: Cheshunt is just north of the M25 (Junction 25). Take the A10. Turn off left at Church Lane traffic lights. At the first roundabout, turn right into Flamstead End Road. After mini-roundabout at bottom of Longfield Lane, turn right into Park Lane. The entrance to Cheshunt Park is about 100m on the right. Parking – follow the lane to Cheshunt Golf Club and use the car park on the left at the end.
By train: trains run from Liverpool Street to Cheshunt, leaving at 8.28, 8.52, and 9.28. Journey time is about 30 minutes. Cheshunt Park is about 2 miles walk from the station. From the station, walk west along Windmill Lane. At the T-junction, turn right into Turner's Hill. Bear left into High Street and after a short distance, turn left into Church Lane. Cross the A10, Great Cambridge Road. Then follow the car instructions, above. As far as I know, there is no bus service between the station and the Park on Sunday morning.
