Summer League this Sunday, 4th July

Just a reminder that it's the 3rd Summer League race on Sunday 4th July at 11am (please note the later than usual start!). Ealing Southall & Middlesex are hosting a 5m race in Perivale Park – please see below for further details. If you have kids, nieces, nephews, etc. please bring them along – it's a great family day, the children will get the chance to run in the 400m fun run (if under 7) or the 1500m tenderfoot race if older than 7 & will get a certificate and lots of points to help Serpentine in the league. They can also run in the relays too.
11.00am Senior Open Race 5 miles
12.00noon Tenderfoot race (1500m)
12.10pm Kids Fun Run (400m)
12.15pm Relays
The Open Race is a 2-lap course on roads and paths in and around Perivale Park. The course is flat and mainly on foot paths. The tenderfoot race, fun run and relays will take place entirely within the park.
Parking: there is limited parking available at Perivale Park and street parking along Stockdove Way and the surrounding roads.
Public Transport: the nearest tube station is Perivale (on the central line) which is about a 15min walk. (Please note South Greenford rail station is not in operation on Sundays.) Perivale Park is also 2 miles away from Ealing Broadway from where the following buses can be taken – 297 (alight at 'Perivale Lane' stop), E2, E7, E9 or E10 (alight at 'Gurnell Leisure Centre' stop).
Food/Changing facilities: post race refreshments and food will be provided by ESM. Changing & toilet facilities are available in ESM's club house at the track close to the start/finish area (available from 10.30am). Please do not use the track for warming up unless you have paid the entry fee.
Hope to see lots of you there – you don't have to enter in advance (although if you sign up on the event planner it helps us know how many people to expect) just bring your Serpie top and make sure your club membership is up to date.
If anyone is injured or is coming to support and fancies helping – we need a couple of people to help at the finish to record numbers – no experience necessary.
