We need to be able to field at least 24 men and 12 women. Both the Serpentine women’s and men’s teams have made an excellent start in this competition and let’s make sure this continues.

The programme begins with the young athletes races at 1.15pm. The women’s 6km race will start at 1.55pm. The men’s 5 mile race will start at 2.30pm.

The Wormwood Scrubs course is flat and is all on grass, apart from one very short section on mud.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of your race.

Changing, showers, etc., in the Stadium changing rooms. Refreshments will be available from the Thames Valley Harriers clubhouse, which is alongside the track.

Advance entry is not required. Just come along on the day with your Serpentine running club or triathlon top, collect your number from Stephanie or Malcolm and enjoy your race.

Post race drinks at the North Pole pub.

Travel: Take the Central Line to East Acton. Linford Christie Stadium is 15 minutes walk from the station. Buses to Du Cane Road: 7, 70, 72, 272, 283 (plus 220 to Scrubs Lane entrance). Please check with www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl for other travel options.

By car, enter the main and overflow car parks from Du Cane Road using the narrow road between the Hospital and the Prison. There is a width and 6’ 6” height barrier. The overflow car park will be on the old netball courts behind the hospital and there will be a Thames Valley Harriers sign on the entrance gates.

Please note that QPR will be playing at home, so leave extra travel time.
