Warning of Possible Route Disruption Saturday Morning Run 15 August

To all attending Saturday Morning run in Hyde Park this Sat 15 August:
Hyde Park is the venue for the ‘Dextro Energy Triathlon World Championship London,’ with the elite races taking place from 10:00am.
The races may cause disruption to the normal 2/3 parks route, particularly near Victoria Gate on north side of the park (bike turnaround point) and especially along South Carriage Drive (bike and run route). Expect route closures and / or extra congestion due to the race and its spectators.
Please be prepared to adjust your run route on the day as necessary to avoid route closures and take guidance from any ITU marshals.
To avoid South Carriage Drive, groups may have to run outside the park, exiting at Exhibition Road and re-entering where possible near Hyde Park Corner / Park Lane. If this is necessary, particular care will be needed between the Household Cavalry Barracks and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, in the area where construction work is taking place.
As always, and especially when running on pavements, please give way to pedestrians and take care at any signal crossings.
Listen for possible updates on the day at Speakers’ Corner before the run.
