About: The book, ‘Born to Run’is the true story of a magical race pitting a band of ultrarunners against the Tarahumara Indians in Mexico’s Copper Canyons, and much more; it explores the anthropology of human endurance, the biomechanics of barefoot running, the merging of philosophy and physiology in Emil Zatopek’s remarkable career, and the rise of the Young Gun trailrunning tribe in America’s northwestern forests.
