Course Description: “Start and finish on grass field, remainder undulating parkland and woodland course suitable for spikes. (Short spikes advised – as below)
Note – The paths in the woods are quite stony under the surface and in the current cold conditions the ground is also hard. Studs or even trainers may therefore be the most suitable footwear.”
Public Transport: Stevenage Station (Main Line) 1¾ mile. Bus 14 and 178 from Stevenage Bus Station, stop F, (E?). Get off at Shephall, Six Hills Way.
Parking: “The nearest car park is off Six Hills Way, signposted Sailing Centre.
This is only a short walk to either the HQ/Changing or to the Start.
There is another car park off Shephall View, a one-way street accessed from Colestrete. This is an 8 minute walk across the park to the HQ/Changing.”
Directions from major roads: “Leave the A1(M) at Junction 7, A602 to Stevenage. Follow the A602, Broadhall Way to the second roundabout. Turn left onto Monkswood Way and go to next roundabout. Turn right onto Six Hills Way and follow for almost 1 mile. Turn left into Park, signposted Sailing Centre.
Fairlands Valley is well signposted (brown signs) throughout Stevenage.”

Other information: “All clubs should arrive before the start of the meeting (1.15pm) in order for numbers to be distributed to each club.
Runners should not wear I Pods/Walkmans when competing, as they are not allowed on safety grounds.
To be eligible to score, competitors should compete in the correct race for their age group.
Unregistered second claim members can now only compete as guests in the remaining two League fixtures.”
