NEW! helpers run on New Year’s Eve

Runner in Hyde Park

With just 20 days to go until the race we need a lot more Serpie helpers (at least another 30 people) or we will not be able to safely hold the race.
The New Year’s Day 10K race is a great start to the 2009 racing calendar and best of all, as a helper it does not matter how bad your hangover is, you can still take part. And there will be the pub after for a swift hair of the dog or 2!

While we do not need most volunteers to have any previous experience, we do need people who have experience of the following to sign up:
Time keeping
Number recording
Funnel pushers
Please sign up to help using the link below and let me know if there is anything in particular you want to do or anywhere on the course you want to marshal in the “Notes” section of the page below.

New Year’s Eve helpers 10K run
As a thank you to all helpers and to give people the chance to see the NEW course before the race day Val and myself have set up a social run of the 10k route (not a race!) on New Year’s Eve at 10.30am for all New Year’s Day helpers.
You’ll be the first people to run the new course plus we will highlight all the km points and marshal points.
So we know how many people to expect please sign up on My Events,

After we’ve run we will head for the Dell Cafe for refreshments and there is also the option of mulled wine at the Winter Wonderland if you prefer!
The Seymour Centre will be open until 2.00pm if you want to change.
