Bedford Classic Triathlon – Olympic club championship race #2

Congratulations to Fiona Strouts and Eoin O’Connell who are the Olympic distance triathlon champions following the race in Bedford yesterday, with times of 2:28:22 and 2:08:59 respectively. This was the second Olympic distance champioship since the first race we chose was affected so badly by stormy weather.

The outright female race winner was a Serpie – Rachel Joyce – but as she was racing in her sponsor’s colours she’s not eligible for the championship.

It was a cold, wet and windy day which caused a few crashes on the slippy roads although all Serpies seemed to get round safely.
