Ironman Clinics – Change of Venue

Runner in Hyde Park

Serpie member Toby Radcliffe is just starting his first season as a pro athlete and wants to take some time now to give back to the club that has supported and encouraged him these last few years (bravo Toby!).

To this end he’s organised a series of clinics focusing on three key aspects of long distance tri – general preparation for your first IM, nutrition, and injury prevention. These sessions are free!

The first clinic — First Ironman: Stepping Up to Long-Course — is on Tuesday 29th April at 18:30 at Pure Sports Med on Threadneedle Street – and the programme is as follows:

Talk: Toby Radcliffe, Pro Ironman Triathlete — What to expect, how to prepare, work-life balance (aka fatigue management!), race entries, dos and don’ts.

Q&A / Panel Q&A: Toby and others

Break-out sessions:
1. Structuring training (coaches Julian Nagi and Mike Shaw);
2. Tri-toys: bike and gear (Kevin Worster “Cycle Doctor” & Toby Radcliffe);
3. Swim specific training (Dan Bullock, Swim4Tri)
