Core Connections – Pilates Course for Runners

Runner in Hyde Park

The Serpentine Running Club is holding a four week Pilates course on Tuesday evenings starting on March 25th. The classes are specifically tailored to runners in order to help the individual improve performance and prevent injury by working on improving flexibility in lower body muscle groups and discovering long-forgotten abdominal & back muscles.

Pilates is good for more than just core strength: whether you’re in training for the Edinburgh marathon, thinking about tapering for London, or just dying to master the art of pulling your stomach in, these specialised training sessions cater for a wide variety of levels and needs.

There will be two classes: one at 6.15pm and another at 7.15pm. Classes are taught by personal trainer, Pilates teacher and runner, Laura Williams (visit Laura’s website at www.laurawilliamsonline.co.uk)
