25th Anniversary event

Runner in Hyde Park

As some of you may already know, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the Serpentine Running Club. Officially, according to John Walker, the club began “sometime around May”, 1982! To mark this rather vague date, on the Wednesday 9th May and Saturday 12th May club runs, we are asking everyone turn up with an item of club kit to run in. It should create quite an impact with a sea of red and yellow swarming all over Central London. So make sure you’ve got some serpie kit to wear, whether it be running vests, t-shirts, crop tops, a cycling top, tri top or even a tri suit. Older members might want to dig down in their drawer for some “retro” kit. All new members now get an item of kit as part of joining the club, but if you don’t have any, why not? Not only can you represent your club whenever you race, but it’s all excellent quality and value so worth having just to train in. Go and visit Clare and friends in the kit room.

More info closer to the date.
