Club Multi-Sport Championship winners 2006

Only five men and and five women managed to complete a full set of scoring races in the 2006 multi-sport championship. Well done to everyone and I guess that\’s a measure of how challenging this series is! The top results are:
Christine Lutsch 487.8
Katie Crowe 481.5
Rosie Ingram 462.9
Kimberly Kabatoff 455.3
Rachel Whittaker 440.0
Ian Druce 497.8
Andrew Reeves 487.0
Gavin Edmonds 449.9
Ian Hodge 437.3
Lars Menken 405.3
Combining results from the road race championships, the triathlon championships with some duathlons, aquathlons, cross-country and the decathlon, you have to be prepared to have a go at everything to stand a chance of doing well. Of course, it also makes a good excuse to try something new and it was great to see a few so-called \”triathletes\” racing in cross country recently as well as quite a few so-called \”runners\” taking the plunge into the Serpentine in September\’s biathlon.
Next year, the championship is in the same format as this year and most of the events are already announced. Let\’s get the season off to a good start with a big turnout at the 10mile race in St. Albans on 21st January!
