New leaders in the multi-sport championship

As well as being the first cross-country race of the season, last Saturday\’s Metropolitan League race was also the first of two cross-country races which count towards the club multi-sport championship:
With quite a few of you having just four races counting up until this weekend (with the X/C being the 5th) it was inevitable that something would change at the top of the table – and that I wouldn\’t be able to hang on their any longer 🙁
I\’m pleased to announce that the new leaders of the multi-sport championship are Ian Druce (497.8 points) and Christine Lutsch (487.8 points). Andrew Reeves is 2nd man and Katie Crow is 2nd woman. The previous leaders, Rosie Ingram and myself, both move into 3rd place.
Apart from marathons and Ironman races, the only two races left are:
Ballbuster duathlon, 11th November
Metropolitan League, 25th November
These being in different categories, it\’s possible that someone with only 3 scoring races so far could move to the top (or close to the top) of the table. The lead could certainly change again! You can see the whole table here: http://www.serpentine.org.uk/events/multisport/multi-results.pdf
Most of the races for the 2007 series are now announced so please check the main page above and start sending off those entries. With 2500+ members, it would be great to see more than just a dozen men and women managing to do the five qualifying races next year.
