Club Championship 10M results

73 Serpies went to St Albans yesterday and competed in the Fred Hughes 10mile race. With a relatively small field (<500 runners) and a flat course, quite a few PBs were set! The overall winner of the race was our very own Simon Barrett (00:55:01), closely followed in 2nd place by Andrew Reeves (00:55:10). This makes Simon the male Club 10M champion for 2006. Our leading woman was Karine Pradier (1:07:02 – 9th woman overall), followed by Karen Hancock (1:07:20 – 10th woman). Unfortunately Karine was not wearing club colours so Karen is the 2006 female 10M champion. Karen also had the highest age-graded result so she is also the age-graded 10M champion. Congratulations to our new champions. Serpentine also picked up the mens, womens and mixed team prizes.
