Participate in the Club Championship 10K without running!

Runner in Hyde Park

In less than two weeks time a large group of Serpies will be descending upon Victoria Park for the Middlesex County 10k Championship and Open race. In case you didn’t realise, this is also our designated 10k club championship race so there will be a big field of Serpies competing.

Victoria Park Harriers are hosting the race on behalf of Middlesex AA and they have asked if Serpentine can assist with the marshalling and the water station. If we could come up with about 10 people, we’d make Tim the race organiser a very happy man!

If you’re not planning to race yourself but would like to come out and cheer on your Serpie mates (it’s a 3-lap course — great for spectating) and help a fellow club at the same time, do let me know. Forty people have already signed up on MyEvents, but only one, our trusty Hon Sec and official photographer, has indicated they are helping. And David is likely to be too busy immortalising the runners in pixel form to hand out water.

So email me at nlabib@serpentine.org.uk, put the race on your MyEvents list, or both and I’ll be in touch to coordinate.

Many thanks,
Nadya — SRC Volunteers
