Superb performance from Serpentine athletes at Friday Night Under Lights Podium 5km – Battersea Park

Serpentine runners produced strong performances over the 5km distance on Friday 11th February at Battersea Park, in competitive fields that attracted top runners from around the country.

In the first race of the evening, Nick Torry came home in 14:37, a season best and very quick for a V40. He was followed by Jon Poole who was 29th in 14:45, just outside his season's best.

In the second race it was PBs all round for Serpentine runners. Jens Sudmeier came in 27th in 15:31, Ben Tolputt 45th in 15:44, and Ben Parkes 63rd in 16:04.

The strong club performances bode well for the upcoming 12 stage road relays in March and April.
