Calling All Strava Artists This Christmas!

Hello Serpies – In times of uncertainty, many of us turn to art to keep us sane. With the Christmas break coming up, I can sense the Serpie Strava artists are getting out there to create some wonderful GPS artwork! You’re hereby invited to enter the Serpie Christmas Strava Art Competition in the upcoming holiday season.

The Serpie Christmas Strava Art Competition – How Does it Work?

  • It starts on Sunday 19th December 2021 and will run until 23:59 (UK time) on Monday 3rd January 2022.
  • You need to be a current Serpentine RC member to enter.
  • Artwork can be created by running, walking, or cycling.
  • The design/route of the art must be original i.e. not copied from the Internet or previous Strava artwork.
  • Multiple submissions per person are allowed – the more the merrier!
  • There should be evidence that the artwork was created by the applicant – we will check on Strava.
  • Art submissions (as screenshot of a Strava page) should be uploaded via this link on Dropbox (no Dropbox account is required). Alternatively you can email me the screenshot and a link to the Strava activity by 23:59 on Monday 3rd January 2022.
  • The Serpentine RC committee members will pick the best Strava Art in mid-January and there will be a prize for the winner.
  • There will be special mentions of where members perform their Strava activities – we would love to get entries from wherever you’re spending your Christmas holiday!
  • We will select some distinguished artwork and share them with all members – a virtual exhibition in late January, anyone?

I’d like to thank Matthew Hearne for this wonderful initiative. We look forward to seeing some creative activities on Strava as you run, walk, and cycle over the festive period!

Merry Christmas to you all Strava artists,

Hans Ho
