Grand Prix 10k – Bonus Race - Entry Details

The 10K bonus race will run for two weeks between 17th and 30th August.  Run and enter your time anytime between now and 9pm on the 30th August.  Click above for entry details

How to submit a time for the 10K:

  • On the ‘Self add result’ page scroll down the list of races and select "2020 Virtual Summer Grand Prix Club Championships – Bonus event distance" https://www.serpentine.org.uk/rdb/self/self_addresult.phpEnter your time anytime from now until no later than 9pm on the 30th August;
  • Take a photo or screenshot that shows your time and distance, this can be a screenshot of your Strava/Garmin result page, or a picture of your watch. As long as the distance is a minimum of a mile; and
  • Upload the image to the club’s drobox account via this link: https://www.dropbox.com/request/ZhNL18HB4NxS5D88Sf7c (the link can also be found in the same page as the “self-add result” page). Click “Choose Files” or “Choose from Computer”. You do not need a Dropbox account. This will just ask for your name (so we can correlate your performance with the time submitted) and email address (so you’ll get a confirmation of upload).

Awards and spot prizes

Award plaques will be given to:

The fastest Male, Female and Age-Graded for each race.

The overall Male, Female and Age-Graded Summer Grand Prix Club Champions (see below for details of the points system).

Spot Prizes

After each race all participants who submit a time will be entered into a random draw to win a £20 sport’s voucher. Names will be drawn from a hat after the race. Those that complete all 5 races will have the additional chance to win a £20 voucher from a further draw (that's 6 x spot prizes up for grabs!).

Rules

  • All runners must adhere to the government’s social distancing guidelines, including before and after your run.
  • Groups of up to 6 runners can race the 10k together if they wish.
  • Please respect other people using the space you're running in: you do not have priority.
  • The race should be completed on either a road or trail (not track or treadmill).
  • We ask that for each race you aim for a net downhill of no more than 0.5% of the total race distance. We will not be verifying this but will rely on an honesty system.
  • Please begin from a standing start to ensure fairness.
  • All times and evidence must be submitted within the specified time frames.

Points system to determine overall champions

Runners must submit times for ALL FIVE races if they are competing for the overall male, female and age-graded summer grand prix club championship. 1st Place receives 1 point, 2nd Place - 2 points, 3rd Place – 3 points and so on. The runner with the least number of points will win. Male and female runners will be ranked separately.
