Points system to determine overall champions

Runners must submit times for ALL FIVE races if they are competing for the overall male, female and age-graded summer grand prix club championship. 1st Place receives 1 point, 2nd Place -2 points, 3rd Place - 3points and so on. The runner with the least number of points will win. Male and female runners will be ranked separately.

How to submit times

  • Login to Serpiebase. On the ‘Self add result’ page scroll down the list of races and select the particular Grand prix race in question from the series labelled "2020 Virtual Summer Grand Prix Club Championships" (NB there is a full list of races in alphabetical order and you may have to scroll for a while to find the one you want!). https://www.serpentine.org.uk/rdb/self/self_addresult.php Enter your time after 9am on the start date and no later than 9pm on the finish date (for example, in the 1km event, you can submit your result anytime after 9am on 28th June until 9pm on 5th July).
  • Take a photo or screenshot that shows your time and distance, this can be a screenshot of your Strava/Garmin result page, or a picture of your watch. As long as the distance is a minimum of that specified for the race in question.
  • Upload the image to the club’s drobox account via this link: https://www.dropbox.com/request/ZhNL18HB4NxS5D88Sf7c (this link can also be found in the same page as the “self-add result” page). Click “Choose Files” or “Choose from Computer”. You do not need a Dropbox account. This will just ask for your name (so we can correlate your performance with the time submitted) and email address (so you’ll get a confirmation of upload).

Rules

  • All runners must adhere to the government’s social distancing guidelines. In the interests of fairness, and to ensure social distancing measures are adhered to, we ask that you treat this as an individual race and do not meet up with others to compete.
  • We ask that for each race you aim for a net downhill of no more than 1% of the total race distance (e.g. 10m for the 1K race). We will not be verifying this but will rely on an honesty system.
  • All times and evidence must be submitted within the specified timeframes.
