Virtual Summer League 2020

Fixture dates and main race details

There will be three fixtures, and runners can complete their runs on any day in this period, with a cut off time of 5pm on the Sunday.

  • 1st fixture: 10km, between 8th - 14th June
  • 2nd fixture: 5miles, between 13th - 19th July
  • 3rd fixture: 10km, between 10th - 16th August

For your results to feature on the usual Summer League leader board send your time, full name, gender and date of birth to

No need to send a picture of your running watch - we're trusting everyone to take part in the spirit of the Summer League, however your run shouldn't be predominantly downhill and should start and finish in the same place if possible.

Junior races

As usual, there will also be a race for juniors. Anyone 15+ can take part in the senior race, but those under 15 can run 1 mile between any/all of the dates above and submit the same data by email.

Summer League just wouldn't feel right without a relay, so we're inviting everyone who submits a time (senior or junior) to also 'sprint' 400m. As usual, it isn't compulsory, but the top times will be combined to form a male A team, female A team, and two mixed B teams.

Post-run picnic and photos

The cake and picnic are usually a huge part of the Summer League, so we're encouraging everyone to bake and send a picture of you enjoying your own post-run picnic, along with your results. The pictures will then be shared on the new Summer League Instagram - use @thesummerleaguelondon to tag the account, and you can share your pictures using #summerleaguelondon

As ever, please adhere to government guidelines about social distancing and be respectful of other members of the public. This is less about PBs and more about taking part in some friendly inter-club competition.

Any questions get in touch, otherwise happy running!
