Cross country information session - Wednesday 18 September

We will be holding a short session to tell you more about the club’s cross-country races.  This will take place after the club runs on Wednesday 18 September from about 8pm in the club room (where the trophy cabinet is) and last around half an hour.

All are welcome, both new and experienced club members, and we very much want to continue our club’s record of getting more people into cross-country and of achieving great success, particularly in the Met League.  If you can sign up on the events planner that would be very much appreciated, so that we know how many people to expect.

Cross country is an excellent way to make you a better, stronger runner and despite what you might have experienced at school, most people also find it great fun and very sociable.  At this session we will explain the various leagues and championships you can take part in, how this varies from road running and what kit you need.  A number of club members will be on hand to answer questions and share their experiences.  We’ll also say a bit more about the various volunteering opportunities on offer too for example in marshalling races and registering runners.

There will be a few drinks and snacks available, and we should be done by 8:30pm.
