Social trail run (Hassocks) on Saturday 29th June

Please join us on a social trail run from Hassocks to Lewes through the beautiful South Downs Way led by Hisayo Kawahara on 29 June (Saturday).

Some people may remember the last time we did this route back in December 2018. It was a very cold and wet day with strong wind and sleet on a trail, and we had some Type II fun. It was an unforgettable day in my memory for so many reasons!!! Hopefully, we will have nice weather this time.

The pace will be very sociable and suitable for people who are beginner trail runners or those who don’t take ‘running’ too seriously. There is a nice cafe just by the Lewes train station for us to finish with tea/cake before heading back home.

Distance: 16 km (10 miles)
Pace: Very sociable 7-8 mins/k (2 hours in total)

Travel

Start: Meet at London Bridge Station for 8.35 departure, in the train or Hassocks Station at 9.34
Finish: Lewes Station

What to bring
It's an unsupported run with nowhere to leave bags at the start, so come in your running gear and bring only what you will take with you on the run.  We recommend you bring/wear:
• Waterproof jacket (if the rain is likely - pls check the weather in the morning)
• change of clothes
• Sun cream
• Trail shoes with good grip
• Water and snacks
• Money for lunch/tea/cake

Let’s Talk
