Summer League - 4th fixture - Regents Park - 15th July

The fourth fixture of the Summer League races will be held in Regents Park on the 15th July, 9:30.

This time a it will be a10k.

If you aren't already filled to the brim with happy hormones, cake and Serpie camaraderie, and you have your eye on scoring more points for team Serpie, and your own place on the SL leaderboard, then please come along to the next fixture!

Regents Park is more or less Serpie home ground (we like to think), being a stone's throw from headquarters at the Seymour Centre. We usually get a good turn out of runners and supporters at this fixture, and Mornington Chasers do a great job of hosting us all. We meet near the hub in the park.

What is Summer League? some of you may be asking...

Well, it's a series of 5 events through the summer, held on Sunday mornings in a park. They feature a main race of either 5 miles or 10k and a 1 2/2 mile tenderfoot race, for children, a 400m (ish) fun run for children and 4 x 400m (ish) relays for runners of all ages.

All of this is accompanied by a glorious picnic, laid on by the host club. Expect fruit, sandwiches, cakes and more.

The runners who take part range from the very speedy to the modest jogger. Everyone is welcome, and the more people we have participating, the more points, so please grab your Serpie vest and come and run for your club. It's brilliant fun.

Non-club members are welcome also, and can run as guests for £2, to be paid to the Serpie team on the day.

We hope to see you there!
