Notice: Annual General Meeting to be held on 26 September 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Serpentine Running Club will be held at 20:00 on Wednesday 26 September 2018 in the El Alamein / Trafalgar Suite at the Victory Services Club, 63/79 Seymour Street, London W2 2HF. (agenda; committee report)
The purpose of the AGM is:
- to decide on any resolution which may be duly submitted to the meeting as provided by the Rules of the Club
- to receive from the Committee a report, balance sheet, and statement of accounts for the preceding financial year
- to elect the Honorary Officers and the Committee, to ratify the selection of Honorary President, and to appoint the Auditor for their terms.
Nominations to be Honorary Officers (Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary), and for membership of the Committee must be received by the Hon Secretary in writing (including email) by Wednesday 12 September 2018. Any first claim Ordinary Member or Life Member of at least one year's standing may be nominated. He or she must be proposed and seconded by two other members, and must confirm their willingness to stand for election. The nomination must also clearly state for which position(s) the member is standing.
Any resolutions proposed for consideration by the AGM must be submitted in writing to the Hon Secretary by Wednesday 5 September 2018. Notice of the text of any resolutions received shall be given by the Hon Secretary by Wednesday 12 September 2018 by means of a notice displayed in the Club Room at the Seymour Leisure Centre, and on the website, www.serpentine.org.uk.
