Triathlon skills sessions

Read on for details of Spring / Summer triathlon skills sessions

Hi Serpies,

Your coaches are running a number of triathlon skills sessions this Spring / Summer designed to save you valuable minutes on race day. All sessions are free to club members but you do need to sign up in advance so we have a managable number of athletes at each session.

First up is a transition session focusing on bike to run. This takes place on Wednesday 9th May 7 to 8.30pm in Battersea Park. Meet by the entrance to the track. You will need to bring a bike, cycling kit and running kit. Your coaches Lan and Aga will guide you through mount and dismount of the bike. There will be an opportunity to practise running off the bike too. If you would like to come, please email myself at triathlon@serpentine.org.uk

Secondly we'll be running a series of 6 coached open water skills sessions at Shepperton Lake starting 9am for an hour. We'll cover skills such as removing your wetsuit, sighting, drafting and rounding a turn buoy. There is also an option to continue swimming after the coached session ends or you could run around the lake instead or as well. We are planning sessions on Saturday's 19th May, 2nd June, 16th June, 7th July, 28th July and 18th August. Again if you would like to come, please email myself at triathlon@serpentine.org.uk

Reminders of each session as it approaches will be posted on Serpie Facebook. We hope to see as many Serpies as we can fit into the sessions throughout the Spring / Summer and if you have any questions on any of the above email me.
