T&F - Preparation for the new season and weekly training options

The track & field summer season is just few weeks away and the club is offering several opportunities to get back into regular training in your favourite events. Don't be put off if you have never tried something before: there is room for you too. Read more below and come along to any of the sessions.

Now that the cross country season is nearly over and the snow is melting down once and for all, it's time to think about the upcoming track & field season. Our teams are looking very strong and ready to do battle in the three leagues where our club competesSouthern Athletics LeagueSouthern Veterans League and Rosenheim League.

What better way to prepare for the new season than taking part in some sessions to refresh your skills or try those events that you have always wanted to, but never had a chance to test yourself in? The club is organising a specific training day, where there will be the possibility to practise different events and get some tips from athletics coaches, and there are also regular weekly training options to improve.

See more details below and get in touch if you have any question.

Pre-season training day

Pre-season coached practice session for newcomers to T&F or anyone who wants to refresh their technique before the beginning of the season.

The session will be on Sunday 15th April from 10am to 4pm with the following indicative plan

  • Morning (approx. 10:00 to 12:30) - Jumps and hurdles
  • Afternoon (approx. 13:30 to 16:00) - Throws

Depending on attendances and people's interests, we may shuffle things around on the day. We hope to hold all the sessions at Battersea Millenium Arena, pending availability of the venue (to be confirmed).

Everyone welcome; no previous experience needed. You can try as many events as you'd like on each day and we will make sure that all abilities are covered. Please email us if you have any questions.

Please Add to My Events register your interest on MyEvents so we know how many people to expect.
