Summer 2016 Road, T&F and Triathlon awards

Awards and trophies presented on 8th October at the Old Nick pub in Holborn

As the club looks ahead to the cross-country season, we celebrated the end of summer season with the joint social and award presentations on Saturday 8th October.

Many thanks to all those who have been part of the season in one form or another. In particular, thanks to all our helpers, volunteers and officials for their invaluable contribution to make things happen: we would not be able to compete without your work and we are very grateful for all the time you spend on this. 

T&F Awards and Club Champs

End of summer, means it is time to draw the T&F season to a conclusion. Our teams saw some successes over the season, with the highlights definitely being our SAL team promoted to Div 2 and our Rosenheim women's team qualified for the league finals. 

2016 T&F Captains' Awards were presented last Saturday to the most deserving athletes for their results and contribution to our teams. Congratulations to them for their achievements. Full information available on our website.

A special thank you goes to Jan Farmer, who in 2016 has captained the women Vets team for the last time after 20 years of great results and successes. She will definitely be missed: good luck to Catkin Shelley who has stepped forward and will manage the team from 2017.

It was also time to present the T&F club champs for 100, 400, 800 and virtual icosathlon. Congratulations to all our winners for some amazing performances

Club Championshop 100m - Alexander Moka (men and age-grade trophy) and Awa Ndiaye (women trophy)
Club Championship 400m - Graeme Harrison (men and age-graded trophy) and Eryn Lovell (women trophy)
Club Championship 800m - Ragab Ragab (age-graded trophy), Laura Carmichael(women trophy) and Ahmed Mohamed (men trophy)
Virtual icosathlon - Richard Taylor (overall and age-graded men trophy) and Eryn Lowell (overall and age-graded women trophy)

10k club champs

The club championship 10k took place on Sunday 4th September in Victoria Park and winner's trophies were presented to Marina Johnson and Andy Greenleaf who are the 2016 club 10k champions. Andy also took the age-graded championship.

Triathlon awards

Autumn also means that many Serpies triathletes put their bikes and legs to rest before starting preparation for the next season. During the evening the winners of the five club championships were presented with their trophies. A summary of all winners is presented below and full results can be found here.
