Volunteer to help at the Jekyll & Hyde Duathlon, Sunday 30th October 2016

Volunteer to help at the Jekyll & Hyde Duathlon in Hyde Park, Sunday 30th October, 2016 - sign up here

It is that time of year again…yes Halloween will be upon us before you can say ‘boo’ and with Halloween comes the Jekyll & Hyde Duathlon.

Fresh after Rio, this is the next big sporting event and is solely organised and run by Serpentine, held in Hyde Park. Therefore, I am asking for your support.

We will need a minimum of 100 volunteers to put on the race and make it a success, so if you can spare the morning of Sunday 30th October, then please do sign up. I must stress that if we don’t get enough volunteers, Royal Parks will not allow us to put on the race, a situation we don’t want to be in. So please do give back to the club and join us for a fun filled morning in Hyde Park.

We require marshalls to cover:

  • Registration
  • Transition
  • Bike Course - including draft busters
  • Run Course
  • Water Station
  • The Finish

I am looking for team leaders in these areas as well, so if you’re a seasoned Jekyll & Hyde volunteer or you'd just be up for leading a small team on the morning, then please contact me and offer to take one of these positions. No experience is necessary to volunteer.

The time we will need you at Hyde Park will vary depending on which element you are assigned to, however you will be finished by 11am at the very latest.

To thank-you for volunteering there will be a little momento for you, a view of some great racing and some great fancy dress from the competitors!

As part of the prizes, in tradition, we supply pumpkins, so if anyone is a dab hand at pumpkin carving then raise your hands and pop me an e-mail.

If there are any questions, then please do ask…
Thanks in advance,

Jo Elferink
Race Director
