Entries open for the National Triathlon Relays

Entries open for the National Triathlon Relays in Nottingham

Afternoon Serpies,

It's the time of year again when entries for the national triathlon relays are open. Described as 'organised chaos' and 'possibly the most fun you can have' they're a highlight for many and a great addition to your season.

For those who don't know the format, teams are made up of four athletes and can be all female/male, or mixed. The unique format is a bit different to a normal triathlon in that everyone swims 500m, then bikes 15km, then runs 5km - tagging your teammates as you go through each stage.

Even though you do need to be able to complete all three sports, the race is open to anyone, whether you're a newbie or a seasoned pro. You don't have to be a British Triathlon Member to take part and it would be great to get as many Serpies as we can racing.

The race this year is on Saturday 26 August, at the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham. What better way to spend your extra day off work? If you are interested, then all you need to pay is £20 towards the race entry and the club kindly covers the rest.

For further info and to sign up, please go here: https://www.serpentine.org.uk/pages/race_tri_club_relays.html

Entries close on Monday 31st July so please sign up by then.

This year Laura Hamilton has very kindly stepped up to organise the teams and entries so if you have any questions, let her know! She can be contacted at l.e.m.hamilton@gmail.com
