Club 1k championship decided

Ahmed Mohamed, Helen Gray and Andrew Reeves won the men's, women's and age-graded 1k championship trophies this morning at the traditional downhill course in Hyde Park.

1k race

45 Serpies took part in the race which was held as three heats. In the women's race Helen ran 2:57, 1 second outside her winning time from last year, and in the men's race Ahmed finished in 2:35 also 1 second outside his winning time from 2016. Finally, in another repeat of last year, Andy achieved the highest age-grading: 90.7%

Grand prix

The grand prix table is calculated on everyone's times compared to the winner's time for each gender in each of the four summer races (1k, 1mile, 3000m, 5k). Afer two races the grand prix table sees Helen and Andy in the lead, with Andy also leading the age-graded competition.

Next race

The next race in the grand prix is the 1 mile at Paddingon Track on Tuesday 18th July, 7.30pm start.
