Selected Serpentine race results from the weekend
Here is a round-up of some notable Serpie performances. Well done to everyone who competed!
Frankfurt Marathon
Nick Torry finished in 2:17:37, 20th overall, 1st in his age category and second fastest British athlete. The performance places him in the top 10 of the UK ranking list for 2017. Other sub 3 performances came from Jarek Olszowka in 2:44:32 and Michele Bottone in 2:55:15.
Cross country - Liddiard Trophy and North of the Thames championships
Serpentine men won the Liddiard Trophy (8 to score), both NOTT titles (6 and 8 to score respectively), the Middlesex Cup (12 to score) and the Masters title (4 to score). The women meanwhile took silver in both the Liddiard Trophy (4 to score) and NOTT (4 to score) races.
River Thames Half Marathon
Nicolas Besson finished in 12th place in a time of 1:16:06.
