Summer League: 5th and Final Fixture 20th August

Be at Battersea Park for the 9.30am start of the final fixture!

The Summer League is a competition between a select group of London running clubs, and this is the 5th and final fixture. There are age-graded prizes up for grabs, and everybody who takes part scores points for Serpentine's standing in the league, so you are welcome whether 10k will take you 35 or 95 minutes. The entry fee is included in your club membership, so you can just turn up and race on the day.

This is our home fixture and so we will be responsible for providing the post-race picnic. Your club provides sandwiches and fruit but we will rely on you to bring your cakes, biscuits and any gluten free treats that you are happy to provide. You can drop off clearly labelled goodies before the race at the snack stand where the volunteers will lay them out and look after your cake tins/tupperwares etc. Look out for the Serpentine flag marking our spot close to the finish, which is to the west of the bandstand in the centre of the park.

If you have been competing at the final Southern Athletics League match the day before, or are feeling tired after a busy summer of racing, we also need Serpie volunteers to act as marshalls and help the day run smoothly. Please email Daisy on races@serpentine.org.uk if you are able to help.
