Volunteer to help at the Jekyll & Hyde Duathlon, Sunday 15th October 2017

Volunteer to help at the Jekyll & Hyde Duathlon in Hyde Park, Sunday 15th October, 2017 - sign up here

The Jekyll & Hyde duathlon is once again nearly upon us. This event is solely organised and run by Serpentine, held in Hyde Park. Therefore, I am asking for your support.

We will need about 100 volunteers to put on the race and make it a success, so if you can spare the morning of Sunday 15th October, then please do sign up. Friends, children, partners are also very welcome, just add to the notes how many additional hands you can bring, if any. This is the official sign up page for this event. If you have added your name to the event planner then please do also sign up via this page otherwise your name may be missed.

I must stress that if we don’t get enough volunteers, Royal Parks will not allow us to put on the race, a situation we don’t want to be in. So please do give back to the club and join us for a fun filled morning in Hyde Park.

We require marshalls to cover:

  • Registration
  • Transition
  • Bike Course - including draft busters
  • Run Course
  • Water Station
  • The Finish

I am looking for team leaders in these areas as well, so if you’re a seasoned Jekyll & Hyde volunteer or you'd just be up for leading a small team on the morning, then please contact me and offer to take one of these positions. No experience is necessary to volunteer.

The time we will need you at Hyde Park will vary depending on which element you are assigned to, however you will be finished by 11am at the very latest. I do, however, require a handful of willing volunteers to be at Hyde Park for about 5:45am to help set up the course, so if you can, please do let me know by adding to the notes when you sign up or by e-mailing me.

To thank-you for volunteering there will be a little momento for you, a view of some great racing and some great fancy dress from the competitors!

If there are any questions, then please do ask…
Thanks in advance,

Jo Elferink
