Serpies Trail Run - Sunday 29 May, Surrey Hills

This month we are going to the Surrey Hills to run a circular route from Godalming of around 24-26 km (15 - 16 miles). Expect undulating paths, a few hills and some very pretty views.

Date: Sunday 29 May
Place: Godalming, Surrey - meeting in London for travel by train

We haven't been to the Surrey Hills before, so I am really excited to introduce you to this new route in a loop from Godalming (with thanks to Owen B). This route has it all: hills, forests, wild garlic, a beautiful long flat section (Downs Link - a disused railway line) and even a couple of very friendly Lincolnshire Curly Coat domestic pigs!

To make it easier for those coming from London, we will meet at Waterloo Station to travel together. The journey time is around 50 minutes. After the run, you will be able to join us in a pub in Godalming to celebrate and rest.

Come and enjoy some fresh air and friendly chat with fellow Serpies who share a passion for the outdoors.

This run will be at a social pace. The idea is to run together and have fun. If you can run a 10k in about 60 minutes and have covered this sort of distance before, you should be fine to run at a social pace. If anyone is interested in guiding a group either at the front or as tail runner then please indicate on the sign up page.

If you are interested please fill in your details here.

You need to be a Serpentine RC member to participate. After signing up you will be contacted nearer the time to let you know the meeting time (it will be in the morning) and exact location. You will also be sent more details of the route.

Any questions please contact me directly.
