Serpies Santa Trail Run - Sunday 19th December, Surrey Hills

Date: Sunday 19 December
Place: Surrey Hills, meeting in London for travel by train
This run will be point-to-point, meaning that we will start at Guildford and end in Dorking. The run will follow a very scenic section of the North Downs Way for around 24 km (15 miles). Like last time, we will end in a pub in Dorking to celebrate.
It's a lovely time of year to leave London, Christmas shopping and the bright lights behind you and get some fresh air and friendly chat. The route will be hilly in parts, and follows a path all the way. If the weather is good we can expect some excellent views across the South Downs.
The run will start from Guildford Train Station in Surrey. To make it easier for those who prefer, we will meet at London Waterloo Station to travel together to Guildford. The journey time is around 45 minutes.
This run will be at a social pace. The idea is to run together and have fun. If you can run a 10k in about 60 minutes and have covered this sort of distance before, you should be fine to run at a social pace. If anyone is interested in guiding a group either at the front or as a tail runner then please indicate below.
I am aware that this date does clash with the Sunday Cross Country event in Stevenage There are two consecutive Sunday Cross Country events in December so it's difficult to avoid I'm afraid. There will be more trail running next year for those who can't come along this time.
