Last Half of the London Marathon training run Sunday 14th April 2019

This year’s training run will take place on Sunday 14 April 2019 and start at 9am from Tower Hill tube station.

This is a training run which follows the route of the second half of the London Marathon, with those taking part split into pace groups, each with their own leader.

It is aimed at those doing the London Marathon, particularly for the first time, and intended to help runners become familiar with the route, which should help them feel more relaxed and confident on the day.  It is not a race and it will be necessary to be aware of pedestrians and to take care when crossing the road.  After the run we will head off to a nearby café or pub for some recovery nutrition (recommendations welcome, but probably the Lord Moon of the Mall on Whitehall).

To do this, we would really like to have people reasonably familiar with the course who can lead a small group running at a particular pace.  Although we will have a couple of people handing out water at two points along the course we would also welcome any further offers of help.

If this is something you would like to do please register here
