Summer League fourth fixture, 21st July 9.30am, Regent's Park

The penultimate Summer League fixture is on Sunday 21st July in Regent's Park, 10km race starts 9.30am. Meet near 'The Hub' in the centre of the park.

If previous fixtures in Perivale or Dulwich felt too far away on a Sunday morning, why not join us in central London for the fourth Summer League fixture. Run on tarmaced paths within Regent's Park, this is a popular 10km course and usually sees a great Serpie turn out. The club pays your entry fee and you don't need to enter in advance, changing space is available in The Hub but don't forget your Serpie vest.

The timetable is:

  • 9:30 Main race - 10km
  • 10:35 Tenderfoot race - approx 1500m for 6-14 year olds
  • 10:55 Fun Run - approx 400m for under 6 year olds
  • 11:00 Relays - approx 400m, for everyone!

The scoring system is explained on the Summer League website, but as well as the individual competition there is an inter-club competition so every runner counts - this league spans all abilites so absolutely everyone is welcome. There are also lots of points for the relays (heavily age-graded), so do stick around to take part in the final burst of chaos if possible!

Mornington Chasers are hosting this time so make sure you try out their great home baking. Serpentine are hosting the final fixture on Sunday 11th August and we'll be looking for bakers, sandwich makers and marshalls in the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out for more details, or catch Daisy in Regent's Park race if you are able to help out.
