Help on the day with numbers

We now have enough helpers for on the day. Thanks go to Andrea, Sam, Sarah, Liz and Richard.

Race day details for runners

Reminder - all races take place on Parliament Hill Fields, Hampstead Heath on Saturday, 24th February. Entries have CLOSED and there is no race number swapping. For those of you who have pre-entered, the race details are:

U15 Boys 4.5km, starting at 11.25am
U13 Boys 3km, starting at 12.30pm
Senior Women 8km, starting at 2.20pm
Senior Men 12km for men, starting at 3.00pm

Both races will start promptly and before other races on the programme have finished. Chip timing will be used. Please make sure your chip is securely fastened. No chip means no time or place.

We will meet by the northern side of the athletics track and please get there at least 40 minutes before your start time to collect your race number and chip. You must run in a Serpentine Running Club top to score.

Given the recent rain, the Heath is muddy and will very churned up by the time the Seniors race. Cross country spikes with at least 12mms spikes are recommended.

Female and male changing, showers, etc will be available at the Lido (not at the track), although you're advised to arrive changed ready to race.

Can't race?

If you can't race because of injury or illness, we understand, but you must let me and your team captain know BEFORE the race. Just not showing up is letting down your team mates, captains and the club which has paid a lot of money in race fees.

Travel to the race

You are strongly advised to use public transport. "Residents Only" parking restrictions apply in all surrounding streets until 1.30pm.

The nearest tube stations are Kentish Town and Belsize Park which are 15 - 20 mins walk. Gospel Oak & Hampstead Heath Overground stations are closer and approx 5 - 7 minutes walk away. Please check TFL for engineering work this weekend and alternative journey options.

After pub

And not forgetting the pub! After the men's race has finished, we'll head to The George, 250 Haverstock Hill, NW3 2AE. We have booked separate dining area for us from 4.30pm (the pub is fine with people just having drinks). Details: http://www.thegeorge-belsizepark.co.uk
