Dean Karnazes Social Run & Speaking Event
Dean Karnazes, is probably the best known ultramarathon runner in the world due largely to his best selling books "Ultramarathon Man", "50 / 50" and his new book "Run!". His website can be found here.
Dean is coming to London on July 6th and will be joining Serpentine club members on a social run around the Two Parks route and following that will be speaking about his previous adventures and his new book at the Victory Services Club.
The run will be the normal Two Parks route and will be at a very social place (you don't need to be an ultramarathoner for this run). It will leave from the Seymour Leisure Centre at 6pm sharp, If you wish to run with Dean arrive early and be ready to run by 6pm! for any non members the run will be passing Speakers Corner in Hyde Park around 6:05pm so you can pick up the course there, please don't come to the Seymour centre if you are a non-member.
The speaking event will be held at the nearby Victory Services Club from around 7:15pm where Dean will be interviewed by fellow ultramarathon runner, author of "Why we Run" and club member Robin Harvey. After this there will be a Q&A session following which Dean will be available to chat and sign books.
Entry for current Serpentine club members is free (bring your membership card), non-members are welcome however there will be a charge of £3 for non-members on the door to help cover expenses. This speaking event has limited space and is strictly on a first come, first served basis so get there early!
