With London Marathon just two weeks away, we are looking forward to seeing many Serpies running the streets of London and hopefully many will do their PBs in the world’s biggest marathon.  To join in with the excitement, here are a couple of events to invite you all.

Serpie Talks – ‘Run a Marathon like an Olympian’ with Roman Fosti – Friday 25th April

On Friday before the race, we are delighted to invite Roman Fosti, a Serpentine member who represented Estonia in the international stage for almost 20 years, to speak to us about his running career as a runner, his experience in world class races, what he is doing with the running community in Tallinn and what running means to him. Those running the Marathon can also get some tips from him!

Event details are:

  • Date: Friday 25th April 2025
  • Time: Doors open at 18:30, event begins at 19:00 and finishes approx. 20:00
  • Venue: St Mary’s Bryanston Square Primary School, Enford Street, London W1H 1DL (Same place as our Wednesday Runs.  Closest Tube: Marylebone)

Post-Race Pub

In the afternoon on Marathon Day, all Serpies and friends are invited to come along for a few drinks, some food and plenty of celebrations in a pub in Mayfair:

  • Date: Sunday 27th April 2025
  • Time: From 13:30 until late afternoon
  • Venue: The King’s Head, Mayfair (10 Stafford Street, London, W1S 4RX). Closest Tube: Green Park

The venue is about 10 minutes’ walk from the Mall where the Marathon will finish. This year we are going to Mayfair rather than around Victoria and St James’s Park as previous years for our post-race pub, so that runners finishing the race wouldn’t need to cross the race traffic which is expected to be very busy.

Any questions about the events, please contact me.
