BMAF Indoor and Winter Throws Champs (23 Feb 2008)
The BMAF Indoor Track and Field and Winter Throws Championships were held over the weekend at Lee Valley Athletics Centre,with several British, European and World Records being achieved.
The Championships attracted athletes from all over the country, including Northern Ireland, many of whom are preparing for the World Masters Indoor Track and Field Championships in Clermont Ferrand at the end of March.
Brenda Green took Gold in the FV75 200m category and Pauline Rich took Silver in the 3000m in her age group.
It was also good to see Neil Tunstall who won gold in his age category at the World Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Riccione last year over 400m Hurdles, running over two laps of the track without any barriers placed in his way.
