Isle of Wight Marathon (03 Oct 2010)

It was a tough one because of the hills. hardly any flats, always up or down. Was pretty wet on the day, dried out later. A small marathon - just over 130 finishers. Very scenic - but is run on the road - with traffic sharing the road - so got to be careful. Very well organised and marshalled, but don't expect big crowds - they are very thin!

Isle of Wight Marathon (09 Oct 2016)

This was the 60th Anniversary of the Isle of Wight Marathon making it one of the longest running Marathons in the country.
The course was well organised and well marshalled with 240 finishers.
It was run on quiet country roads and is a challenging undulating course with the toughest hill between mile 24 and 25.
The race was in warm sunny conditions with a cool breeze and I would recommend it to future participants.
